THE FIRST WEEK YOU ARE LAUGHING FOR THREE HOURS EACH DAY
You simply laugh for no reason. Laughter and mind never appear together. Therefore laughter will bring you out of the mind. While you are not in the mind you are open for transformation. Life loses its seriousness and you feel fresh and light.
THE SECOND WEEK YOU ARE CRYING FOR THREE HOURS EACH DAY
Every one of us has suppressed much sadness, despair and anxiety. Inside of us there are rivers of tears waiting to be released. If you allow the crying to happen it will create a tremendous healing inside of you. During this very emotional phase you will get loving support and encouragement.
THE THIRD WEEK YOU ARE IN SILENCE FOR THREE HOURS EACH DAY
(50 min. sitting with 10 minute breaks in between) You are the "watcher on the hill." You are just watching whatever passes your mind and all what is happening inside and outside. The process of witnessing has the whole secret in it. It brings you to a deep silence and it helps you to become more centred in yourself. This last week brings clarity and integration to all that you have gone through the first two weeks
My own experience says to me that if you can laugh rightly, in the right moment, it will bring you out of unconsciousness into the open sky, from darkness to light. Nothing makes you stop your thinking as laughter does.just for a moment you are no more mind, just for a moment you are no more time. Just for a moment you have entered into another space where you are total and whole and healed.
If you don’t want to cry, your eyes will lose the lustre because tears are needed; they are a very alive phenomenon. When once in a while you weep and cry, you really go into it — you become it — and tears start flowing down your eyes; your eyes are cleansed, your eyes again become fresh, young, and virgin.
Mind means words: self means silence. Mind is nothing but all the words that you have accumulated; silence is that which has always been with you, it is not an accumulation. This is the meaning of self. It is your intrinsic quality. Silence is meditation. It is a question of changing the gestalt, shifting the attention from words into silence - which is always here.
